Our Process

We have a robust, thorough and established process designed to maximize our efficiency and accuracy in providing clients with the best interim managers, often within demanding timeframes. It begins the moment we receive an inquiry, and continues right through to the interim manager's completion of an assignment.

Inquiry: All client inquiries are responded to in a timely fashion by one of our Partners. We will quickly establish whether we are the best-placed provider to assist.

Brief: After an initial inquiry has been made, we arrange to take a full briefing. This involves a detailed discussion of the company's needs, the scale, scope and deliverables of the role in question, as well as cultural fit, budgets and timeframes.

Search: Our dedicated research team immediately begins sourcing candidates from our portfolio of interim managers, which is updated on an ongoing basis, contacting each to ascertain their availability and suitability for the role.

We then compile a list of individuals who will meet with our Partners. We maintain relationships with interim managers across a variety of roles on a continual basis. When a need arises, we meet with the most qualified candidates to discuss the client’s needs in detail and assess the candidate’s suitability.

Shortlist: The CV/resumes of 2 - 3 candidates are presented to the client, along with rates, availability and a succinct report highlighting their most pertinent skills and experience.

Interviews: We schedule interviews between the selected candidates and the client. Interviews can be held at client premises, at a mutually convenient location, or at a Boyden office.

Candidate Selection: After the necessary interviews have taken place, the best-fit candidate is selected and final terms agreed upon. We take care of all contractual administration, and ensure that the interim manager is ready to step into his or her new role as soon as possible.

During the Assignment: Boyden interim management provides ongoing support as needed, holding meetings to assess intermediate results and ensuring all deliverables are being met to the client's complete satisfaction.

Following the Assignment: When an assignment has drawn to a close, we conduct post-assignment meetings with both the client and the interim manager to ensure a smooth transition and complete knowledge transfer.
